Overview:
Algae is something that pool professionals deal with routinely in pool care maintenance. The pool industry has several options for products and programs to treat algae, or better yet to prevent it from occurring. This webinar will focus on the science of algae, highlighted by recent research that explains resistant algae and why some treatments are more effective than others. Upon completion, participants will understand how and why algae grows in pools, as well as have a comprehensive understanding of how to treat and prevent it.

1. Understand how and why algae grows in pools
2. Be familiar with the different types of algae that are found in pools and their characteristics
3. Be able to effectively prevent or treat all types of algae that are found in pools by identifying the correct course of treatment necessary

Alicia Stephens is the Director of Training and Education for Biolab, Inc and leads all education and training initiatives for the Biolab Pro Dealer division. As a 23-year veteran of the industry, Alicia started her career in technical and product support, and built on that experience to focus her efforts on the education and training of both internal and external employees.
